What changed, and why.
Certifications lapse. Formulations change. We get things wrong. When a record changes we say so here rather than editing it quietly — including the corrections, which are the entries worth reading.

Fixed company extraction on CPSC notices, which had been storing product names as companies.
Only about a fifth of CPSC notices name a manufacturer. The first version fell back to the product name, so records held companies called things like "Stacking Cups". It now reads the importer and distributor fields too, and stores nothing when the notice names no firm.

Removed a Wikipedia citation and a false "no recalls" claim from the Petit Bateau listing.
The listing cited Wikipedia, which our own methodology refuses as a source, and asserted that no recalls existed for the brand. The EU Safety Gate mirror then surfaced a Petit Bateau choking-hazard recall, disproving it. Both were caught by a new catalogue test rather than by a reader, which is the only reason this correction is dated today and not later.

Renamed the top verification tier from "Certified" to "Verified".
"Certified" implies a certifying body. We are not one, and no listing here carries accreditation from anybody. The label now says what we actually do: a person checked every published claim against a primary source.
